Practice to Presence

A 300-Hour Advanced Yoga Teacher Training with Satvik Yoga Centre

Online: Oct 6, 2025 – Jan 2026 | In-Person Immersion: Feb 1–10, 2026 (Goa, India)

Deepen Your Practice. Teach with Purpose.

You became a yoga teacher because the practice moved you.

But somewhere along the way, you may have felt that there’s more.

More than āsana

More than cues

More than playlists and peak poses

You’re ready to rediscover yoga’s depth and teach from a place of embodied wisdom.

This training is for you.

Led by Vikram, this 300-hour journey blends timeless philosophy, refined teaching skills, and deep personal practice. It's a hybrid program that honours tradition while embracing real-life integration. And it all culminates in a 10-day immersive retreat in Goa, India.

Is This Training for You?

This advanced training is designed for certified yoga teachers (RYT-200 or equivalent) who feel ready to go deeper — not just in what they teach, but in how they live, practice, and serve. It may be a meaningful next step if you resonate with any of the following:

You crave more than surface-level practice.

You value āsana, but sense that yoga offers a much richer landscape of philosophy, spirit, and inner transformation — and you’re ready to explore it with sincerity.

You want to teach the whole of yoga.

You may feel unsure how to weave in breathwork, meditation, or ethical reflection. You’re looking to confidently guide students into deeper layers of awareness, on and off the mat.

You feel a bit stuck or burnt out.

Maybe the spark that led you to teach has dimmed under the weight of logistics, comparison, or fatigue. You’re longing to reconnect with your why.

You’re drawn to inner transformation.

This isn’t just about acquiring knowledge — it’s about stepping into a space that invites self-inquiry, healing, and growth. You want to evolve, not just as a teacher, but as a human being.

You value authenticity and integrity.

You’re not interested in gimmicks or watered-down teachings. You want a training that honours the roots of yoga and helps you live its values with clarity and care.

You need flexibility and connection.

You appreciate the freedom of online study, but also recognize the transformative power of in-person community. This hybrid model offers both — study at your pace, and then gather deeply.

You’re ready to be a student again.

Whether you’ve been teaching for one year or ten, you carry a beginner’s mind — open to unlearning, questioning, and integrating anew.

If you’re nodding “yes” to many of the above, this training was made with you in mind. It’s not about how “advanced” your poses are. It’s about how deeply you understand, embody, and share this path.

What You’ll Gain  (The Deeper Outcomes)

By the end of this 300-hour journey, here’s what you can expect to walk away with — both tangible and intangible:

What Makes This Training Unique

In a sea of advanced yoga trainings, here’s what sets Satvik Yoga Centre’s 300-Hour YTT apart:

Meet Your Teacher & Mentor: Vikram

Hi, I’m Vikram — your lead teacher and mentor on this 300-hour journey. Though I’ve been teaching yoga for over 15 years, I remain a student first. My path began with informal lessons from my grandfather in India, continued through studios in Toronto and New York, and now finds home in the coastal stillness of Goa, where I lead retreats and trainings.

Over the years, I’ve studied with brilliant teachers, poured over scripture and science, and taught thousands of classes. But the real teacher? Life itself — with all its nuance, loss, joy, and unpredictability. Yoga, to me, isn’t just a subject to master. It’s how I live, how I parent, how I fall apart and begin again.

This training was born from a pattern I kept noticing: teachers who had done multiple trainings but still felt something was missing. Many told me, “I want to teach philosophy, but I don’t know how,” or “I feel like I’ve learned a lot, but haven’t really integrated it.” This program is my response — a space to ask deeper questions, reconnect to your voice, and truly embody your role as a teacher.

My teaching style is often called conversational yet deep. Expect stories, reflections, the occasional irreverent joke — but also grounded reference to texts like the GÄ«tā or Yoga SĆ«tra, explored in ways that feel alive and relevant. Whether we're unpacking the nature of the Self or talking about Instagram fatigue, my aim is to make ancient wisdom deeply human and usable.

I won’t place myself above you. I walk beside you — asking good questions, offering honest reflections, and cheering you on when you speak your truth, even if your voice shakes. I’ll gently challenge you, but always from a place of care. By the end, I hope you don’t just call me your teacher — I hope you feel seen, supported, and empowered to step fully into your own role as a teacher.

Off the mat, I’m often with my daughter Satya, reading, cooking simple meals, or walking by the sea. I believe the ocean holds the same wisdom as the UpaniáčŁads — quiet, vast, and endlessly returning. I can’t wait to share that stillness with you in Goa.

In-Person Immersion: February 1–10, 2026 (Goa, India)

A Living, Breathing Yoga Experience

Our training culminates in a 10-day in-person immersion in Goa — the heart of integration and community. This is where the teachings come alive, not just in theory, but in daily life.

Set in a tranquil retreat space near the beach (venue TBA), you'll be surrounded by palm trees, nourished by wholesome vegetarian meals, and held in a rhythm of yoga practice from sunrise to sunset. With each passing day, you’ll embody what you’ve learned — through sādhanā, satsang, teaching labs, and shared silence.

Here’s what to expect:

Daily Sādhanā:

Each morning begins in stillness — guided meditation and prāáč‡Äyāma as the sun rises, followed by a thoughtfully themed āsana practice. Some days Vikram will lead, other days you or your peers will co-lead — putting your training into practice. These flows are not just physical; they’re an experiential reflection of yogic themes like tapas (discipline) or vairāgya (letting go).

Immersive Workshops & Peer Learning:

Days are filled with engaging sessions — from philosophy deep-dives (e.g., unpacking a Gītā chapter) to guest workshops (past topics have included trauma-informed yoga, mantra, and Sanskrit). Practicum sessions are a highlight: each trainee presents or teaches, receiving warm, constructive feedback from Vikram and the group.

Mentorship & Reflection:

Vikram meets privately with each trainee during the immersion — a space to reflect on your path, ask questions, and receive personal guidance as you step forward. These intimate conversations often spark insight and confidence.

Community & Connection:

From shared meals of fresh tropical fruits and warming curries to chai chats and sunset beach walks, this retreat is as much about connection as it is about content. You'll laugh, cry, support one another — and leave as sangha.

Ceremony & Completion:

Our final day includes a sacred closing — possibly a havan (fire ritual), shared reflections, and the formal presentation of your 300-hour certification. It’s a day of joy, honoring the journey you’ve walked and the teacher you’ve become.

A Few Practical Notes:

February in Goa is warm, sunny, and dry — perfect for indoor-outdoor learning. All meals and shared accommodation are included (single rooms available on request at extra cost). A detailed packing list and travel guide will be shared closer to the date. All you need is your mat, an open heart, and your full presence.

You’ll leave not just with a certificate, but with memories, friendships, and insights that continue to ripple long after you return home.
