Karma — Cause, Effect, and the Weight You're Carrying
A 90-minute live workshop on the law itself, not the version most people already think they know.
Karma gets used two ways almost everywhere. One is the popular shorthand, good things happening to good people and bad things to bad people, some invisible scorekeeper balancing it out. The other is karma yoga, the path of selfless action, which is its own subject and not this one.
What the tradition actually describes is narrower and harder to sit with. Every action leaves a residue. That residue accumulates, layer on layer, and what you call your personality, your circumstances, your luck, is in real part the weight of actions you don't remember taking, still working themselves out.
This workshop stays with that claim for ninety minutes. We'll look at how the texts describe karma actually operating, not as fate and not as punishment, then bring it into a modern life: the pattern that keeps returning, the result that seems to arrive from nowhere, the sense of being pulled by something older than this year's decisions. There's space for questions throughout, not saved for the end, because this is the kind of material that raises them as you go.
No background in philosophy required. Whether you've never opened the Yoga Sūtra or you've studied it for years, the session starts at the same place, what karma is actually claiming, and what it asks of you once you take it seriously.
