Ananta | Nepal
A Yoga & Spiritual Immersion in the Himalayas
Wandering Mat | November 22–29, 2026
Kathmandu · Bhaktapur · Patan · Astam Village · Pokhara
Where Practice Meets Presence
Tucked between Himalayan peaks and centuries-old temples, this retreat is more than a getaway. It is a call to return to the rhythm of breath, the wisdom of the body, and the sacred pulse of life itself.
Eight days. Two worlds. One intention.
Why I Keep Coming Back
Going back to Nepal feels like going back home.
There is something about this place that holds both normalcy and chaos in the same breath, and somehow that paradox feels more honest than anywhere else I've been. Walking through Kathmandu, Bhaktapur, and Patan takes you back to a bygone era. The streets are alive with devotion, colour, and a pace of life that quietly dismantles whatever you came in carrying. Standing at Pashupatinath is a humbling, beautiful reminder of the impermanence of everything. Boudhanath Stupa, one of the great places on earth, has a way of stilling the mind without asking anything of it.
 And then there is Astam.
Something shifts when you witness the first light of day touch the Annapurna range. The crisp mountain air. The Himalayas as your backdrop. A practice that feels less like exercise and more like conversation with something larger than yourself. Village hikes that ground you in the present moment more completely than any meditation cushion. The simplicity of it all is the way the noise of ordinary life just falls away, that is something I have not found anywhere else.
I hosted my first retreat here in 2025. I am going back because some places ask you to return and Nepal is one of them.
This time I know the roads, the rhythms, the people, and the moments that tend to crack something open in participants. That means I can hold the space more completely, go deeper with the teachings, and offer an experience that has been genuinely lived rather than just planned.
There are fourteen spots. If any part of what you've just read is calling to you , that call is worth listening to.
