Living the Yamas & Niyamas
Not ten rules to follow. Five relationships to inhabit.
A 90-minute study of how the Yamas and Niyamas live in practice.
Session Details
The Yamas and Niyamas are often introduced early in one’s yoga journey.
They are simple.
Clear in structure.
Easy to understand.
And yet, not always easy to live.
Most practitioners are not lacking information.
They have studied the teachings.
But in the moments that matter, the same patterns repeat.
Not because the teachings are unclear.
But because understanding does not automatically translate into change.
This session explores that gap.
What this session is about
This is not a theoretical breakdown.
It is a practical exploration of how these principles show up in daily life.
We will look at:
Why insight alone does not lead to change?
How habits and identity shape our responses?
What it means to apply these teachings in real situations?
How to begin integrating them into daily practice?
This will be a smaller group to allow for reflection and interaction.
