Study is often approached as something separate from practice.

Something we do to understand, analyze, or accumulate knowledge.

But in yoga, study has always been something else.

Not information.
Not intellectual effort alone.

A return.

A way of seeing more clearly over time.

What This Session Is

This session explores study as part of practice itself.

Not as something to “complete,”
but as something that gradually reshapes perception.

Through reflection and discussion, we will look at:

  • What it means to return to the same teachings again and again

  • How understanding deepens through repetition, not novelty

  • The difference between knowing something and seeing it clearly

  • How study influences how we respond, not just what we know

Who This Is For

This session is open to:

  • Yoga teachers

  • Dedicated practitioners

  • Anyone interested in engaging with yoga beyond technique

No prior background in philosophy is required.

What to Expect

This session is open to:

  • A short teaching

  • Guided reflection

  • Open discussion

This is not a lecture-heavy session.
It is a space for inquiry.

Study, when approached in this way, is not separate from practice.
It becomes practice.
